DARRYL LANKER

President

Darryl Lanker grew up in central Ohio, with a background in agriculture as part of a family farming business.  He obtained his undergraduate degree at the Ohio State University, while starting a farm land clearing business at the same time.  Shortly thereafter, he received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.  In 1984, Darryl moved to Ocala, Florida along with his wife Rachael and their four children, Scott, Mark, Jodi, and Todd.  They currently reside in Ocala, and now have 10 grandchildren.  Darryl and Rachael attend Meadowbrook Church in Ocala, and are involved in numerous Christian ministries.

SCOTT LANKER, P.E.

Vice President/Director of Engineering

Scott Lanker grew up in the Ocala area and attended Forest High School.  He obtained his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2000, and was on active duty in the USAF through 2007 as a pilot.  He flew the T-1A Jayhawk as an instructor pilot at Columbus AFB, MS and then was an aircraft commander in the RC-135 V/W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft at Offut AFB, NE, during which time he flew 39 combat missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.   In 2007 he moved back to Ocala to join the Bedrock Resources team.  Scott obtained a M.B.A. from Regent University and is also a L.E.E.D. Accredited Professional.  Scott is married to his wife, Holly, and they have two daughters, Cora (13) and Reagan (10), and one son, Grant (9).  They attend the Church of Hope in Ocala, and are heavily involved in Royal Family Kids Camp, Ocala (a summer camp for foster children in Marion County), C-12, and other Christian ministries.

MATT GIRDEN

CFO

Born in Canada, Matt attended high school in the Chicago area and obtained his undergraduate degree at Wheaton College. Over the next 15 years, Matt worked primarily in the finance industry, owning and operating several businesses along the way, and earning an MBA from Regent University as well as a CPA license in the state of Florida. Before joining the Bedrock team in 2018, Matt spent several years as a CFO consultant. Matt and his wife Jodi have three children.

WILLIAM MOORE

DIRECTOR OF SALES

William Moore is currently the Director of Sales at Bedrock Resources, with responsibility for marketing products, brand management, and corporate sales. Prior to joining Bedrock Resources, he worked in program management and new program development for a major aeronautical and defense contractor for the US government. In his four years as Program Manager of Air and Missile Defense for Lockheed Martin, there were multiple accomplishments. He demonstrated lean six sigma initiatives that reduced cost, enhanced quality, and improved IOP position to schedule. This allowed him to obtain his Lockheed Martin green belt certification. 

Will holds a bachelors of science degree from Florida State University in industrial engineering. He lives in Ocala with his wife, their two children and two Jack Russell Terriers. In his free time, Will likes to attend sporting events of his university and quality beach time with his family.

ELTON L. SYLVIA, Jr.

SALES MANAGER

Mr. Sylvia served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and received a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. He joined Bedrock Resources in 1991 and is responsible for the company’s sales, marketing and customer relations. Elton is also a L.E.E.D. Certified Licensed General Contractor in the state of Florida. Mr Sylvia is a member of the Florida Lime Rock Aggregate Association, Florida Transportation Builders Association, National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association and past Treasurer of Central Florida Road Builders Association. He is a member of Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church and resides in Winter Park.

ART LAVELY

SALES MANAGER

Art Lavely grew up in Ocala, Florida and is a graduate of Saint Leo College where he was awarded a B.A. degree in Business Administration and proceeded to work nearly 20 years in the precast concrete industry. Ultimately serving as Operations Director for the nations largest structural precast beam manufacturer and having developed programs that streamlined operations systems and resulted in increased productivity, market share and annual sales. 

In 2017, he joined the Bedrock Resources team bringing with him his years in both operations and sales with an emphasis on providing excellence to clients and ensuring that all expectations are not only met, but exceeded.  

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling as a competitive shotgun enthusiast and currently holds a “Master Class” rating from the National Sporting Clays Association. Previously, he competed in the National Skeet Shooting Association with a “AAA” classification and won two Florida State Championship titles during his career with the organization.  

He is a lifelong member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala.

NEIL McDOUGALL

SALES

Neil McDougall a Maine native graduated from Morse High School Bath, Maine in 1981. Upon graduation Neil entered the United States Navy and volunteered for Submarine Duty where he earned his Submarine Warfare Pin. Neil Served on The City of Corpus Christi (SSN 705) Fast Attack Submarine in the Weapons Department as a Torpedoman. Neil is also a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Neil relocated to Florida in 1991 and went to work for a small industrial supply company as an inside salesman. In 1997 Neil was recruited by Dixie Lime and Stone Company and joined their team. Neil’s responsibilities include all aspects of inside sales.

Neil is married to his wife Toni of 37 years and they are the parents of five children and two grandchildren. They attend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and serve in several auxiliary. Neil is very involved in the church’s young men’s program and has served in that capacity for many years. Neil has a background in several martial disciplines and is a professional and amateur boxing instructor.
